SILVERSTONE NEIGHBOURHOOD DEVELOPMENT PLAN

REGULATION 14 DRAFT

The Silverstone Parish Council (PC) has gone to great lengths to ensure that the Silverstone Neighbourhood Development Plan has been undertaken in conformity with all the neighbourhood plan guidance issued by government. In particular:

  • Forming a dedicated Working party (Silverstone Neighbourhood Plan Working Party) comprising parish councillors and other villagers which reports to the PC

  • Orchestrating a highly detailed inventory of all village characteristics, past and present

  • Organizing major local Exhibitions/Consultation events, all lavishly illustrated and accompanied by the opportunity for visitors to make written representations

  • Keeping and holding a full and complete record of all written comments

  • Portraying this information in chart form and publishing the results in the village magazine (‘News and Views’) which is delivered to every household in the Parish

  • Incorporating public comment into the plan making process

  • Instructing specialists (in disciplines such as ecology, civil engineering, aerial droning, landscape appraisal, architecture, town planning, urban design etc., etc.) to inform plan making

  • Arranging monthly meetings of the SNPWP available for attendance by all parishioners

  • Preparation of Agendas and Minutes of the SNPWP and publishing these on the parish web site

  • Providing parishioners with updates on SNPWP developments in the parish magazine

This Volume Three represents the ‘Evidence Base’ reference material which underpins the preparation of the Regulation 14 Draft of the Silverstone Neighbourhood Development Plan.

Given the shear detail and quantum of work undertaken by the SNPWP over a four-year period this total filing system (which comprises Volume Three) equates to some 8GB of information. This database of digital files is, clearly, way beyond the reasonable capacity of our locally funded website and, accordingly, only the folder titles are listed here. Readers can be assured that Volumes One and Two incorporate an exhaustive record of all significant information held in the SNPWP files.

However, if any part (or, even the entirety) of this material is required by any qualifying person or organization, application can be made by email to  response@silverstoneneighbourhoodplan.org and the files will be provided free of charge, in digital format,

A short presentation was prepared for the village residents exhibition in April 2019, which gives a very good overview of our approach to making decisions regarding the Silverstone Neighbourhood Development Plan. Please spare a few minutes to view this presentation which is shown at the bottom of this page. (click on the icon to take you directly to it           )
